I have never been a fan of personal computer flight simulators, despite their indisputable usefulness in learning to fly in a real plane, but one flight simulator I love dearly is “Rise of Flight” (or its new reincarnation “Flying Circus”).

The reasons for my admiration are already clear from its name, right? The Fokker Dr1 (the triplane of the Red Baron) has impressive flight dynamics in this simulator. It allows you to feel all the simplicity and at the same time the incredible complexity of this aircraft (Dolores knows!). Fokker’s legendary adversary, the Sopwith Camel biplane! Aerobatics in different antique airplanes, which are so beautiful, open, and romantic. They splash oil and blow the wind into your face. Even looking at them raises your spirits, and when you get to learn to take off in one, land it, mmmm…

За что уже понятно из названия, да? За Фоккер Др1, триплан Красного барона с круто проработанной динамикой полёта и возможностью прочувствовать всю простоту и невероятную сложность этого самолёта. За легендарный противник Фоккера, биплан Сопвич Кэмел! За пилотаж на ретро-самолётах, прекрасных, открытых, романтичных, брызгающих маслом и обдувающих ветром. Даже смотреть на них уже поднимает настроение, а взлетать, приземляться, мммм…

If you happen to love all this romance and want to see or try it, too, then you should know that the basic version of the “Rise of flight” simulator is free! You can even use it with only a mouse, but it is much better to have a joystick and pedals, of course.

Если кто любит всю эту романтику и хочет посмотреть/попробовать, то базовая версия симулятора Rise of flight — бесплатная! Играть можно даже мышкой, но гораздо лучше иметь джойстик и педали, конечно.
