It’s been a week already, but I’ll leave this here as a keepsake. Aerobatic competitions have slowly come to feel somewhat normal, perhaps even commonplace☺. So many occurred recently, one after the other, one level of pilot’s league after the other. For example, last weekend there was a small competition, the Aerobatic Moscow Cup in Bolshoye Gryzlovo airport. Andrey took part in it, flew in a special yellow Yak-52 (which was a great honor, since it was one of the “First Flight” aerobatic team’s planes!), and yet again won another medal, which was even presented by famous Svetlana Kapanina.

Оставлю на память, хоть уже и прошла неделя. Пилотажные соревнования уже становятся немного обыденными, что ли. Всю осень то одни, то другие, то у одних лиг, то у других. Вот, к примеру, на прошлых выходных был небольшой Кубок Москвы в Большом Грызлово. Андрей там поучаствовал, полетал на жёлтом самолете (это большая честь, ведь это же самолёт пилотажной группы «Первый Полёт»!), и даже завоевал еще одну медальку, а вручила ее даже сама Светлана Капанина.

While the Moscow Cup was happening on one part of the airport, three pilots of the First Flight aerobatic team simultaneously made 11 loops in a row over another part. It was beautiful! Not far away, at the airfield Oreshkovo, the Russian Air Race Formula 1 was taking place; this is when jet planes fly between inflatable pylons at wild speeds at extremely low altitudes.

Параллельно с Кубком Москвы и практически от него не отрываясь три пилота Первого полёта синхронно скрутили 11 петель, это было красиво! Параллельно с этим на другом аэродроме, Орешково, прошли Русские Авиационные Гонки — Формула 1 — реактивные самолёты гоняли между надувными пилонами на диких скоростях на предельно малых высотах.
