• This airplane’s design weight is under 115 kg (254 lbs)! To fly such an ultralight aircraft, you need neither a pilot license, nor a medical, nor aircraft registration, nor even an airworthiness certificate. In Russia, unlike in other countries, you will still need to file a flight plan (even hang glider and paraglider pilots have to do it here), but that is all the bureaucracy you would need to deal with.

• The Heath Super Parasol was designed in 1927 by Edward Heath, who dreamed of making an airplane accessible to the average American. And he achieved that dream! It was Ed Heath who first came up with the idea of ​​selling the plane as a KIT. He made it possible to purchase either a fully built aircraft for $695, or buy it in parts (for example, a box once a month by subscription), or just blueprints for $5. Dozens of kits, hundreds of blueprints, as well as about 80 fully built aircraft were sold. Hundreds of ordinary people became pilots thanks to Edward Heath and his Super Parasol.
  Blueprints are still available now, and no real engineering education or aircraft factory is required to build such an aircraft. Our new friends, Andrey and Natasha, built it themselve, and you can, too, if you want.
