Unlike airplane competitions, winners in individual tasks are not awarded here (we had six tasks this time). Maybe they should be! Winning a task by flying the route faster than anyone is always a risk, so it is cool when winning the individual tasks are encouraged by some small acknowledgement of noteworthy individual flying and not only by the highest score for the day. Aleksandr Barvinsky won three tasks, with Andrey Solomykin, Michail Shestov, and Svyatoslav Zagday each winning one.

В отличие от самолётных соревнований, здесь не награждаются победители в отдельных упражнениях (коих у нас тут было шесть в этот раз). Может, и зря! Выиграть упражнение, пролетев маршрут быстрее всех, — это всегда риск, и клёво, когда он поощряется не только самым большим количеством очков в дне. Победителями в упражнениях были: Андрей Соломыкин, Саша Барвинский, Миша Шестов, Святослав Загдай, и еще два раза Саша Барвинский.

Svyatoslav Zagday won the competition overall, posting consistently high results each day! I am sure his new hang glider helped him in every way! Second place went to Aleksandr Barvinsky, and third to Grigoriy Bondarenko. Congratulations to the winners!

Oleg Andreev also flew really well and consistently, but on the penultimate day both his Compeo and his phone produced corrupted tracklogs. Otherwise Oleg would have been in second place. High-quality preparation, of course, is also one of the components of victory.

Ещё круто летал Олег Андреев — но в предпоследнем дне у него заглючил и компео, и телефон, и трека не осталось. Иначе было бы второе место. Но качественная подготовка — это ведь тоже одна из составляющих победы.

These were the results of the open class — where you can fly any hang glider. We also have a sport class where you can fly only on a king-posted hang glider (this is probably the equivalent of the “club” class in sailplane competitions).

Это были результаты open-класса — открытого класса, в котором можно летать на любых дельтапланах. Еще у нас есть sport-класс — в нем можно летать только на мачтовых дельтапланах (наверное, это аналог “клубного” класса в планерном спорте).

There weren’t enough kingposted hang gliders this time to form a separate competition, so they competed in the open class, but they summed up the results among themselves, too. Azat Masalimov was first, with Andrey Solomykin second, and Ramil Badykshanov third. Yeah, a year and a half without any hang gliding affected Andrey’s performance.

Мачтовых было мало в этот раз, поэтому они соревновались в общем зачете, но и между собой тоже итог подвели: первый Азат Масалимов, второй Андрей Соломыкин, третий Рамиль Бадыкшанов. Эх, полтора года перерыва у Андрюхи в полётах на дельте сыграли на этих соревнованиях не в его пользу!

Moscow won the regional standings, and Albatross won the club standings.

В региональном зачете победила Москва, а в клубном — Альбатрос.

We were lucky with the weather during the competition: all days were flyable, the wind was the most favorable East direction, strong enough for soaring (it is important for Yutsa, because the hill is low, only 200 m above the landing). We were hampered by the restricted airspaces all around, but even that did not stop us from having a good competition.

А вообще, с погодой повезло — все дни лётные, все дни дул достаточно сильный для динамика восток. Не повезло только с запретками вокруг, но даже это не помешало разыграть хорошие соревнования.
